Cave Tubing in Belize offers an exhilarating adventure, taking you on a journey under the lush forest canopy, down the meandering Caves Branch river, and into the fascinating cave passages of the Nohoch Che'en Archaeological Reserve. Located just a 45-minute drive from Belize City or a 1-hour drive from San Ignacio at mile 37 on the George Price Highway, this experience promises excitement from the moment you arrive.
Upon arrival, you'll have the chance to change and freshen up in the changing rooms and restrooms. Then, equipped with helmets, headlights, and personal flotation devices (PFDs), all safety equipment is mandatory for everyone taking part in the tour. After gearing up you'll embark on a guided hike through the tropical broadleaf forest.
Your friendly tour guide will share intriguing facts about the plants and wildlife that call this environment home. As you continue the leisurely hike, you'll eventually reach the entrance of the cave. From there, you'll embark on a 1.5-hour river tubing adventure on specially designed tubes, floating downstream through the cave passages. Along the way, your guide will provide insights into the geological wonders and ancient history of the limestone caves. Keep in mind that Cave Tubing is a water activity, so prepare to get wet.
